A UK medico-legal transcription service built on over 25 years of experience.
JA Transcription is run by Joanne Attias in Greater Manchester. Joanne has over 25 years' experience in medico-legal transcription, having worked in both the NHS and the private sector. She leads a team of experienced UK-based transcribers.
We work with consultants, expert witnesses and the organisations that instruct them, turning dictated reports into accurate, well-formatted documents that are ready to sign.
Our approach
Our approach is simple: Transcribe, Review, Validate.
Transcribe. Our UK-based transcribers type your dictation, with same-day, weekend and bank holiday turnaround available.
Review. Already using AI or speech recognition to draft reports? We format and proofread them so they read as you intended.
Validate. We check an AI-produced report against the original audio, so the record you sign matches what you said.
How we work
We specialise in medico-legal work across orthopaedics, ENT, urology, cardiology, psychology, gastroenterology and gynaecology among others. We are not a generalist typing agency and we do not claim expertise in everything.
Every customer matters. We tailor our service around your working practices, from templates and file transfer methods to turnaround times.
Files are handled securely and JA Transcription is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ZA288589).
