Validate
AI report validation
A careful check of an AI-produced report against your original audio, so the record you sign matches what you actually said.
How validation works
- You send the original audio and the AI-produced report.
- One of our UK-based transcribers listens to the recording while reading the report.
- Differences between what was said and what was written are corrected.
- Anything inaudible, ambiguous or open to interpretation is flagged for you to decide.
- You receive the corrected report and a clear note of what was changed.
Why it matters
AI tools can mishear drug names, laterality, numbers, dates and negatives and the errors can be subtle. In medico-legal work, a single wrong word can change the meaning of a report.
Guidance on the use of AI in expert reports is still developing and experts remain responsible for what they sign. Validation gives you a documented human check against the source recording.
Good to know
- Validation checks the report against the audio. The clinical judgement and the final sign-off stay with you.
- Poor audio, several speakers or very long recordings can affect time and price, so we assess a sample first.
- Each validation is quoted individually.
